The Southeastern Conference revealed the scheduling format for the 2025 football season on Wednesday.

The Southeastern Conference revealed the scheduling format for the 2025 football season on Wednesday.

Like next season, the Missouri Tigers will also play eight games against their SEC rivals in 2025 with four matchups being in Columbia, Mo. and the other four as the guest team.

Here are Mizzou's SEC opponents and locations for the 2025 season:

Home

  • Alabama Crimson Tide
  • Mississippi State Bulldogs
  • South Carolina Gamecocks
  • Texas A&M Aggies

Away

  • Arkansas Razorbacks
  • Auburn Tigers
  • Oklahoma Sooners
  • Vanderbilt Commodores

“We continue to monitor changes across college sports as they relate to future scheduling,” said SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. “Continuing with our current format for the 2025 season provides additional time to understand the impact of the changes happening around us as we determine the appropriate long-term plan for SEC football scheduling.”

The dates and times of these games haven't been released yet, but it was also reported on Wednesday that SEC Network can delay kickoff times as soon as the 2024 season.

"Desiring an all-day SEC football feel, SEC Network game start times can now be pushed back 45 minutes to lead to more staggered finishes, i.e. moving from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. CT. kickoff time," 247 Sports' John Talty and Alex Scarbrough write. "A typical SEC Network slate would now look like 11:45 a.m. CT, 3:15 p.m. CT and 6:45 p.m. CT while ABC and ESPN games would keep their typical start times. The SEC and ESPN will have the ability to flex ABC and ESPN afternoon and night games a limited amount of times per school."

Nevertheless, as the 2025 season isn't for a while, Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz and company are aiming to immediately further this past season's historic success that commenced with a No. 8 overall rank after a Cotton Bowl victory over Ohio State.

The annual College Football Playoff 4-team format was officially increased to 12 this offseason and the Tigers are striving to make the cut. This could be a challenge though, as eight players declared for the NFL Draft.

That said, we caught an inside look at the future of Missouri football during this past Saturday's annual Black and Gold Spring Game.
