In a game that came down to the very last seconds, the Missouri Tigers narrowly defeated the Florida Gators 33-31 off a game-winning Harrison Mevis field goal.

There were eight lead changes in the entire 60 minutes, continuously going back and forth with each team falsely believing they could put the other away. The Tigers had one last drive with 1:36 remaining to come back from a 31-30 deficit, with one crucial 4th & 17 pass from Brady Cook to Luther Burden III saving the game.

Missouri kept driving, getting to the 22-yard line to set up Harrison Mevis for an easy field goal to put the Gators away.

The win showed the resiliency that Missouri has proven capable of the entire season, consistently finding a way to win no matter the circumstance.

First Quarter

  • Darius Robinson's surprise for senior night is wearing "Mizzou" on the back of his jersey. Speaks volumes for his love of the program.
  • Brett Norfleet hurdle alert 🚨
  • 10:33: Harrison Mevis 22-yard field goal puts Missouri up 3-0.
  • 7:49: An ill-fated slip by Ennis Rakestraw Jr. resulted in a 61-yard gain for Florida, leading to a 8-yard gain for a touchdown. Florida is now up 7-3.
  • The Tiger offense is struggling in this first quarter. Five incompletions on seven pass attempts from Brady Cook.

Second Quarter

  • 14:29: The second quarter opens up with Cody Schrader finding a wide-open gap in the Gator defense, scoring on a 41-yard touchdown. The story continues. Missouri leads 10-7.
  • The touchdown puts Schrader at No. 6 amongst Missouri's single-season rushing yard leaders.
  • The Tiger defense is getting some crucial stops, particularly by Kris Abrams-Draine.
  • 4:03: A pass tips off of Florida receiver Arlis Boardingham and bounces right into Jalyon Carlies' gloves for his third interception of the season.
  • The reffing has been interesting to say the least in this game.
  • 2:31: Schrader breaks through for another big play, this time for 34 yards.
  • 1:21: Harrison Mevis makes another field goal, but further back at the 38-yard line, putting Missouri up 13-7.
  • HALF: Missouri 13, Florida 7

Third Quarter

  • 11:54: After Florida running back Trevor Etienne rushed up the middle for a long gain of 30 yards, he catches a pass and brings it home for a 37-yard touchdown. Florida takes the lead, 13-14.
  • 8:53: Cook ends an impressive drive with a QB draw into the endzone, capping off 75 yards of offense on eight plays. Missouri regains the lead, 20-14.
  • 7:16: Beautiful play design from Florida that left a gap for Ricky Pearsall to score a 39-yard rushing touchdown. The leads are rapidly changing on Columbia. Florida leads 20-21.
  • Luther Burden absolutely ate a hit from the Florida defense, but still kept going for several yards. Can't bring him down easily.
  • A highlight play of the year by Burden is overturned. It was a catch off a tip from the Florida defense, but he didn't have full possession once the ball hit the ground.
  • Missouri goes up 23-21 thanks to a 24-yard field goal from Mevis.

Fourth Quarter

  • 14:01: Missouri picks up a costly fumble from Florida. A potential "ball doesn't lie" moment following a questionable penalty call.
  • 13:14: Theo Wease Jr. follows the fumble up with a massive 77-yard touchdown. He turned on the jets, alongside great blocks from Burden and Mookie Cooper. Missouri now leads 30-21.
  • 12:20: Darius Robinson (or Darius Mizzou) gets the Tigers first sack of the night.
  • 7:49: An incredible fake from Florida quarterback Max Brown gave Etienne the easiest touchdown imaginable. This game is coming down to the wire, 30-28 Missouri.
  • 1:36: Missouri has exactly this amount of time to get into field goal range or the endzone. Florida makes a field goal, gaining a narrow 31-30 lead.
  • 0:05: Harrison Mevis field goal with the game on the line? No doubt.
  • FINAL: Missouri 33, Florida 31
