Nebraska football has sent offers out to many 2025 prospects, including Marco Jones.

Jones is a four-star outside linebacker from Danville, California. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound athlete will be a senior this fall at San Ramon Valley High School, and he has received offers from more than 30 schools.

He recently spoke to HuskerMax about his offer from Nebraska.

“The Huskers' offer means a lot,” Jones stated. “They don’t offer a lot of guys from my area, so it means a lot that they extended that to me.”

He talked about what stood out to him about the Cornhuskers.

“What makes Nebraska unique is the coaching staff and also the amount of dual sport athletes they have currently. Coach Troy Vincent and Coach Tony White stand out to me because they are constantly reaching out and we can have normal conversations that don’t involve football or sports at all.”

Is a trip to Lincoln in his future? “I would love to visit if the opportunity arises in my schedule,” Jones said.

He believes his skill set would be a good fit in Tony White's defense.

“I think I can bring versatility to the defense,” he said. “The way I can play in space and come off the edge I believe fits into their defense very well.”

He sees the Huskers as a team on the rise.

“Nebraska is definitely going to be a top school next year with all of the firepower they have,” he said. “They will have a chance to make a long run.”
