REPORT: Ohio State Transfer Safety Isaiah Pryor To Visit Notre Dame

Notre Dame will be hosting a former top recruit on Saturday when the Fighting Irish take on USC. According to Tom Loy of 247 Sports, former Ohio State safety Isaiah Pryor will be making an official visit to Notre Dame this weekend.
Pryor - a former Top 100 recruit according to 247 Sports - left the Buckeyes in late April after entering the transfer portal. He will be eligible to play in 2020 and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Pryor made 31 tackles, broke up five tackles and picked off a pass while starting seven games at safety. He made three tackles in four games this season before deciding to transfer.
Notre Dame has depth needs at safety with current starter Jalen Elliott out of eligibility following the 2019 season. It is also unclear if the other starter - Alohi Gilman - will return for a fifth season in 2020.
Notre Dame recently moved former Rivals100 recruit Houston Griffith to safety, which is a more natural position for him, but the depth chart behind Griffith and freshman standout Kyle Hamilton is thin.
