According to multiple sources, there is genuine concern that the ankle injury defensive end Julian Okwara sustained last night in the win over Duke could be severe. Two sources noted that the initial fear is that Okwara's ankle injury could end his 2019 season.

Okwara went down in the second half and did not return.

The senior captain leads Notre Dame with five sacks and is second on the squad with seven tackles for loss.
