Safety Isaiah Pryor Commits To Notre Dame

Notre Dame had a successful weekend on the field, and now the Irish are having a strong weekend off the field thanks to the commitment of safety Isaiah Pryor to the Irish.

Pryor is a graduate transfer from Ohio State that visited South Bend for the matchup against USC, and from that moment on it was a matter of when not if he would choose the Irish. He returned this weekend with his mother to watch the Irish take on the Hokies, and following the visit the talented safety announced his decision for Notre Dame.

The Georgia native spent his senior season at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. where he was a teammate of current Notre Dame right tackle Robert Hainsey and safety Houston Griffith. He was ranked as the nation’s No. 45 overall player by ESPN and No. 77 by 247Sports.

Pryor started seven games as a sophomore for the Buckeyes in 2018, and during that season he registered 31 tackles, five pass break ups and intercepted a pass during a victory over Minnesota.

Pryor is taking a redshirt in 2019 and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining for Notre Dame.
