Notre Dame Gets Another Chance To Impress Elite LB Noah Mikhail

Notre Dame will look to regain momentum with elite linebacker Noah Mikhail, who visits this week

For the first time since last offseason, 2025 La Verne (Calif.) Bonita star linebacker Noah Mikhail is heading back to Notre Dame on Wednesday. Once described as his “dream school”, the Irish get their chance to regain momentum on this trip.

Heading into it, Mikhail still speaks very highly of Notre Dame. They are a school that has really been selling his fit, and that’s what he is most looking forward to understanding deeper this week.

“I am feeling good about Notre Dame,” Mikhail told Irish Breakdown. “I have been in contact with them pretty consistently throughout the process. They are a school that brings a lot to the table. I really want to see the plan they have in store for me and how I fit into what they do. They are high on me as a player and I really want to know how I fit in on and off the field.”

Throughout the process, the California native has been reiterating how important the visits this offseason will be when making the final decision. Seeing each program in person, and evaluating the fit, will determine where Mikhail ends up calling home.

“Recruiting has been going great,” he explained. “It’s really been a blessing, I have been traveling pretty often and just finding out everything I can about each of the schools.

“This visit is about getting more info,” Mikhail added. “After the visit this week and a couple others, I’m going to really start to narrow things down. In the summer I will be committing. That’s still the plan.”

There’s no question that Notre Dame is in the top group for the talented defender, but they are far from the solidified top choice right now. They are battling some of the top programs in the country, and really need to have a great visit on Wednesday. It’s the Irish staff’s big chance to regain momentum heading into the official visit portion of the offseason.

The 6-3, 220-pound defender is being pursued by some of the top programs in college football. Some of his top offers currently include the Irish, Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, USC, Texas, Miami, Oregon, Florida State, Florida, Tennessee, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Washington, Arkansas, Arizona, Ole Miss, Michigan State, UCLA, Utah, Colorado, Stanford, Boston College, Arizona State and Cal among others.

Mikhail is considered a consensus top 100 recruit by every major recruiting platform. He ranks highest on the ESPN ranking. They currently have Mikhail pegged as the No. 53 overall player and No. 6 linebacker in the 2025 recruiting class.

The California native is coming off of a stellar junior campaign for the Bonita Bearcats. In 12 games, Mikhail led the squad with 166 total and 15 tackles for loss. Mikhail also had one sack, two interceptions and three pass breakups on the season.
