Chad Johnson Bets McDonald's on Marvin Harrison Jr. to Win Heisman Trophy

Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver Chad Johnson is betting on Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr. to win the Heisman Trophy.

From current NBA players to former college football coaches and now even Pro Football Hall of Famers, everyone is recognizing the special talent that the Ohio State Buckeyes have returning this season in receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.

The son of Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver Marvin Harrison is already garnering serious NFL Draft buzz without the season even starting. Although it isn't just draft media, who are getting excited about Harrison, as even NFL legend Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson is taking stock in the Buckeyes receiver.

“Oh my god, oh my god. The real deal," Johnson said in a recent interview about Harrison. "He’s going to win the Heisman this year, and I stand on that. If I’m wrong, I’ll never eat McDonald’s again.”

Considering only three receivers have won the Heisman Trophy in its 88-year existence, the prediction is bold. Yet, it is even bolder because he promises never to eat McDonald's again.

Although, that isn't to take away from Harrison, as he is already being labeled as a generational talent for the 2024 NFL Draft class. Some have even gone as far as to say that he is a better prospect than Calvin Johnson.

As for Johnson's prediction, he isn't alone in his pick for Harrison to win the Heisman, as even former Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer agrees with him.

Coming off a season where Harrison led the Buckeyes in receiving, recording 77 receptions for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns, Johnson believes it isn't far-fetched that the Buckeyes star can win the most prestigious individual award in college football.
