In December, Ohio State offensive lineman Avery Henry was diagnosed with a form of bone cancer known as osteosarcoma, suddenly throwing his football career, but more importantly his life, into a whole new direction.

On Thursday, now well into his battle with the disease, Henry has provided and update on his chemotherapy treatment. And it could not be better news.

Just a couple of weeks ago I was announced CANCER FREE!!!!! I won the battle!! I have 4 more treatments and I’m officially done," Henry said. "I would be lying if I said I didn’t have doubts. But at the end of the day all we know is FIGHT. Never give up. Go Bucks."

Not only that, but Henry is now taking the fight back to Cancer, visiting the James Cancer Hospital with his teammates, where he had been getting his treatments.

Among the teammates that joined him in visiting the hospital, were quarterback Kyle McCord, as well as the entire starting Buckeyes offensive line.

The 6-foot-6, 309-pound Henry is a former three-star prospect from St. Clairsville, Ohio, who joined the Buckeyes as part of their class of 2022. He enrolled in classes in June but has not appeared in a game to this point in his career.
