OFFICIAL: Ohio State Buckeyes Bolster Offensive Line With Signing Of 4-Star Gabe Van Sickle

Gabe Van Sickle should play various role on the offensive line for the 2024 season in Columbus.

Gabe Van Sickle is headed to Columbus.

Van Sickle officially signed his letter of intent to play for Ohio State on Wednesday as part of the Early Signing Period. Van Sickle should provide stability in the trenches for the long-term future in a brand new era of the Big Ten that features 18 programs.

Initially committed to Northwestern, Van Sickle flipped last month after a visit with Ryan Day and Justin Frye. The 6-5, 283-pound lineman is expected to play either guard or center for the Buckeyes come this time next season.

Van Sickle could be viewed as the replacement for Marc Nave, who de-committed from the program back in September. He was one of five offensive lineman recruits expected to sign during Wednesday's Early Signing Period.

Van Sickle chose Ohio State over programs such as Cincinnati, Michigan State, Boston College, and Stanford, among others. A native of Michigan, Van Sickle has an impressive ceiling and can play all five positions at the next level.

The Buckeyes have also officially signed quarterback Air Noland, interior offensive lineman Devontae Armstong, and cornerback Aaron Scott Jr. Ohio State is expected to finish with the top recruiting class among Big Ten programs for the 2024 cycle.
