Former Georgia Tech forward Jalon Moore announced that he will transfer to Oklahoma on Tuesday morning, marking OU's fifth transfer into the program this offseason.

Listed at 6-foot-7 and 209 pounds on the Yellow Jackets website, Moore spent two seasons in Atlanta before entering the transfer portal. In his two years at Georgia Tech, Moore played in 46 games, notching 16 starts.

Last season as a key rotation player for the Yellow Jackets, the Gardendale, AL, native averaged 7.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.9 blocks per game. Coming out of high school, Moore was a 3-star prospect, rated No. 214 in the 2021 class according to 247Sports.

The Yellow Jackets transfer is an athletic wing with great positional size, large enough to compete in the paint when necessary but mobile enough to operate primarily on the perimeter. After starting only one game as a freshman, Moore cracked the starting five 15 times as a sophomore, showing a massive improvement between his first two collegiate seasons.

Now at Oklahoma, Moore will be able to continue to develop his game under a coach who has had success in college basketball, though he has yet to deliver these same results to the Sooners. The Gardendale (AL) High School product didn't begin playing basketball until he was 13-years-old, giving coaches optimism that there is still untapped potential within the talented wing.

Moore's transfer to Norman continues what has been a busy offseason for the Sooners, who lost eight players from last season's roster. Jalen Hill, Bijan Cortes, Joe Bamisile, CJ Noland, Benny Schroeder and Jacob Groves all left the Sooners to find other opportunities in college basketball.

Also this offseason, Grant Sherfield declared for the NBA Draft and Tanner Groves graduated, leaving OU with two more departures. To replenish what was a barren roster, Moser and company brought in Oregon transfer Rivaldo Soares, Siena transfer Javian McCollum, Pittsburgh transfer John Hugley and Utah Valley transfer Le'Tre Darthard in addition to Moore.
