After a convincing victory over the TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday, Oklahoma comes in at No. 17 in this week's edition of the AP Top 25.

The Sooners were previously ranked No. 19, but traded spots with the Baylor Bears, who were upset by unranked Iowa State on Saturday in the Big 12 quarterfinals.

OU's jump in the AP Poll was aided by a 16-point victory over TCU on Saturday that saw freshman forward Sahara Williams lead the team with 17 points.

Jennie Baranczyk's team started strong, holding the Horned Frogs to just six points in the opening frame and taking a 10-point advantage into the second quarter. After TCU made the game close heading into halftime and early in the third quarter, the Sooners closed the game with a strong defensive effort to finish with a 69-53 victory.

OU will meet No. 4-seed Iowa State at 1:30 p.m. on Monday in Kansas City with a spot in the Big 12 title game on the line. The Sooners were crowned regular season conference champions, and are now just two wins away from taking home the Big 12 Tournament trophy as well.

Prior to the 2023 season, Oklahoma's last outright Big 12 Championship came in 2009, when the team went 32-5 and made a run to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament.

Texas, who checked in at No. 5 in the updated AP Top 25, will take on Kansas State, who remained at No. 16, in the other semifinal matchup at 4 p.m. on Monday.

The Sooners swept the Longhorns this year and split the season series with the Wildcats, winning their most recent matchup against KSU in late January.
