Steve Lutz Makes Addition to Oklahoma State Basketball Staff

Steve Lutz is adding another member to his staff as his takeover of Oklahoma State basketball is underway.

On Wednesday, Oklahoma State basketball announced Steve Lutz is adding Isaiah Brooks-Sena to his basketball staff. Brooks-Sena, known by "Zeke," is joining the Cowboy's basketball program as the Director of Scouting and Analytics.

Brooks-Sena has been with Lutz on staff during his head coaching tenure at both Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Western Kentucky. At their first stop, he served in a Video Coordinator role, before being the Director of Operations/Scouting for Western Kentucky this past season.

"Zeke is as loyal and hard-working as they come," Lutz said in a release Wednesday. "His film breakdowns and outstanding people skills have helped take our recruiting, scouting and player development to another level. I look forward to more of the same here at OSU."

Lutz continues to make moves as the Cowboys' head coach, as he's added three assistant coaches to his staff. While he's building out his support staff, the college basketball transfer portal is running rampant.

Oklahoma State lacks a roster at the moment, but Lutz has proven his capability of quickly turning a program around using the portal and bringing in players to fit his fast-paced style. He's got time to do so, too, with players being able to enter the portal up until May 1.

In the meantime, Lutz is building out his staff for the 2024-25 basketball season -- his first both with Oklahoma State and in a conference as tough as the Big 12. Having a solid staff is just as important as bringing in the right roster as Lutz looks to bring consistently good basketball back to Stillwater.

With four staff hirings having been announced, it seems to be only a matter of time before Lutz and his staff start making real roster additions to give a glimpse at how the upcoming fall might look in Stillwater.
