How to watch: Oklahoma State vs. Kansas State

STILLWATER -- The Cowboys as back in Stillwater this week for just the second time this season as they're set to face No. 24 Kansas State in their Big 12 home opener at 6 p.m. at Boone Pickens Stadium.

Oklahoma State is coming off a close and disappointing loss to the Texas Longhorns this past weekend, while the Wildcats are coming off a rather earlier open week.

So, with the hot start to the season that Kansas State has had and with Oklahoma State looking to get back on the right track, plus coupled with the emotions of this being the first game in BPS after the passing of T. Boone Pickens, this game has the makings of being rather electric! But if you're not able to make it, here's everything you need to know on how to follow from wherever you are!

Oklahoma State started the 2019-20 season off hot as they were 3-0 heading into Big 12 play last week against Texas. Despite a great effort late, the Cowboys just couldn't get past the Longhorns as they fell 36-30.

But it's a new week, a new game and new opponent as Kansas State is in town for the 66th all-time meeting between the two programs. The Cowboys lead all three categories of the match up; 39-26 overall, 21-10 in Stillwater and 18-16 in Manhattan.

However, this will be the first time the Cowboys will have faced new head coach Chris Klieman.

"I thought it was a really good hired based on (Klieman's) maturity and the success that he had," said Gundy. "The game at this level is no different than the game at his level. Now, maybe he has more media, different budgets, maybe he's got different things that he didn't deal with there that he does here, but the actual Xs and Os are the same."

The Wildcats enter this game 3-0 on the season having beat Nicholls, Bowling Green and more impressively, they beat No. 23 Mississippi State on the road 31-24. The Pokes will have a couple of things they'll have to watch out for: K-State's rushing game and their defense.

In the FBS, K-State ranks as the No. 7 overall rushing offense (280 yds), the No. 9 overall total defense (allow 256 yds), No. 2 in passing yards allowed (just 118.7), No. 4 in team passing efficiency defense and No. 13 in scoring defense (12.7 points).

"We are playing a good football team this week," said coach Gundy. "A very senior-dominated offense with an experienced quarterback. They know exactly what they are trying to accomplish and they are very good at it. Their defense is very good. We will have our work cut out for us but it's always a fun part."

The good thing is Oklahoma State has the nation's leading rusher and rushing touchdowns leader in Chuba Hubbard. They're also sporting an offense line that's performed better than it has in a while under former Kansas State offensive line coach Charlie Dickey.

They're also getting great play out of redshirt freshman Spencer Sanders. He's the No. 2 rushing quarterback in the nation with 328 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 890 yards and seven touchdowns.
