Oklahoma State fans will soon be able to play as their team again.

On Thursday, EA Sports released the first teaser trailer for EA’s College Football 25. The trailer featured some of the new game's design and confirmed the game's release later this year.

The game is set to release this summer, according to EA, with further information, which may include the release date, coming in May. OSU appeared to confirm its inclusion in the new game on Twitter.

College Football 25 will be the first game in the franchise since NCAA Football 14 came out in July 2013. With roughly 11 years between the games, fans have been starved for a college video game.

Although fans have uploaded updated rosters and created mods to modernize the game, a new game is much needed. Among other things, the trailer referenced EA's work on creating new jerseys for the game to match the current look of college football.

OSU will enter the 2024 season with more returning starters than most other teams in the nation. Not only will that make OSU a contender for the College Football Playoff next season, but also it could make the team fun to use in the new game.

Of course, many fans will be excited to play with Ollie Gordon II and a potentially explosive OSU offense. In 2013, OSU had an exciting offense that translated to the video game.

Josh Stewart and JW Walsh were among players whose likeness was in the most recent game. With nearly a decade since either played for the Cowboys, the revamped rosters will be a welcome sight.

Although it is unclear how dynasty mode will work with the additions of NIL and the transfer portal, fans are likely to run to it immediately after the game’s release. It remains to be seen if the Cowboys will win any championships in real life, but they are sure to hold up some virtual trophies sometime this summer.
