Shane Illingworth to be in Stillwater this weekend

The Oklahoma State four-star 2020 quarterback commit will be in attendance for the Big 12 home opener against Kansas State

STILLWATER -- As if Oklahoma State fans needed another reason to be excited about the Big 12 home opener this weekend, 2020 four-star quarterback commit Shane Illingworth will be on an unofficial visit.

Illingworth announced his commitment to Oklahoma State back on May 15, roughly a month before he was on campus for Cowboy football's elite 'The Show' camp and shortly after that his official visit on June14. 

Illingworth, a 6-6, 234-pound pro style quarterback, has started season just about as hot as any high school quarterback in the country. Through just four games this season, Illingworth has thrown for 1,584 yards and 22 touchdowns and just two interceptions, roughly 396.00 yards per game, on nearly a 75 percent completion rating.

While he currently doesn't hold a ton of offers, he committed to Gleeson and Oklahoma State over Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Colorado, Washington State and others. He also committed a mere 14 days after being offered by Gleeson.

Illingworth is listed as the No. 219 overall ranked prospect in the country, the No. 10 ranked pro style quarterback in the 2020 class and the No. 20 overall prospect out of California according to the industry generated 247Sports Composite.
