Pokes in the NFL: Week 2

Over the past few days, there have been a lot Oklahoma State fans putting Pittsburgh Steelers in their Twitter and Facebook bios than ever before. Former OSU quarterback Mason Rudolph has been named the Steelers starting quarterback following a season-ending injury to Ben Roethlisberger this past weekend.
While an injury, especially a season-ending one, is never great or wished for, it allows OSU fans to once again experience the magic that is Rudolph2Washington. Both Mason Rudolph and James Washington were drafted by the Steelers in 2018 and when they've connected in the preseason, it's been electric.
While the two didn't hook up this past weekend, Rudolph had a solid outing against the Seattle Seahawks. Roethlisberger went down late in the first half prompting a second half start for Rudolph who went 12-of-19 for 112 yards and two touchdowns, the first two of his career.
"You've got to be prepared for those situations whenever your number's called and I thought I was ready," Rudolph said after the game. "I had a really good feel for our game plan and what we had worked on all week. It was good to get that Wednesday practice in that I kind of looked forward to getting when you're in the back up spot. I had a lot of reps this week and didn't feel like I was unprepared by any means."
Receiver James Washington also hauled in two receptions for 23-yards on three targets.
