Myles Garrett Suspended Following Attack on Mason Rudolph

The Cleveland pass rusher has officially been suspended by the NFL. Less than 12 hours after one of the most egregious acts on a football field, Myles Garrett ripping Mason Rudolph's helmet off of him and striking him in the head with it, the NFL has suspended Garrett for the remainder of the season, and possible playoffs, without pay.
Not sure how they let Garrett play again this season after this. Yanking Rudolph by the face mask until his helmet came off, then hitting him with his helmet in the head? pic.twitter.com/hfbqHt43uo

For Mason Rudolph and the Steelers, it was an already ugly game. They came into Cleveland for an intense rivalry game riding a four-game winning streak, and they get beat 21-7. And it was a terrible game for Rudolph. He finished the night going 23-of-44 for 221 yards with one touchdown, a career-high four interceptions,as well as being sacked four times.
As a team, the Steelers combined for 58 total rushing yards and they lost running back James Connor and receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster to injuries.

I know that he was suspended for the rest of the regular season, and possibly any playoff games that Cleveland might play in, without pay, but it'll be interesting to see what happens moving forward.
There are several members of the media, including former NFL players that believe the suspension should carry over into next season as well. Also, this isn't the first time that Garrett has does something like this this season. In the season opener, he punched Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker and was flagged twice for roughing the passer in week two against the Jets.
According to the Akron Beacon Journal, Garrett had been fined $52,639.
I also wouldn't be surprised if Rudolph's camp pursued legal options as well.
There are many risks an NFL QB assumes with every snap taken on the field. Being hit on your uncovered head by a helmet being swung by a 275 lb DE is not one of them. Tonight could have had a catastrophic ending. The matter will be reviewed thoroughly.
