Oklahoma State is ready for the new-look Big 12. With Oklahoma and Texas on their way into the SEC, the Big 12 now brings in four new members for the second year in a row.

With the transfer portal season underway, the Cowboys are having much better luck this year than they did last year. Outside of bringing in three new players -- with more likely to be on the way -- the Cowboys have returned crucial talents on both sides of the ball.

The entirety of the offensive starters are coming back for Oklahoma State, and they looked really good as a unit after getting comfortable last season. It'll be interesting to see what they look like with not only a season under their belt but another offseason.

Defensively, the Cowboys are set to be improved, too. Bryan Nardo underwent his first season as the program's defensive coordinator, where he was able to establish his 3-3-5 scheme and get a feel for leading the defense at Oklahoma State.

Now, Nardo has a year with the Cowboys under his belt along with some key defenders returning for the next college football season. Collin Oliver and Kendal Daniels are two big names to announce their return. Xavier Ross is another recent defender to announce he's coming back to Stillwater.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pound defensive end has been in Stillwater since 2019 and has spent the past five seasons playing with Oklahoma State after redshirting his first year.

"Making myself undeniable ! Let’s Run It Back," Ross wrote on social media

With his return, Ross is going to be a veteran within the squad. He started his college football career with the program in 2019 and has been developing year after year. He played in a career-high ten games in 2022 before playing all 14 games for the Cowboys this past season.

Having Ross on the defensive line will be huge for the Cowboys in 2024.
