Early signing day is lingering for college football, and the Oklahoma State Cowboys are getting active. While the new era of college football leaves December to be a month notable for plenty of transfer portal moves, it continues to be a big month to get last-second work done on the recruiting trail.

Just before early signing day, the Cowboys received a commitment from 2024 running back Jaden Allen-Hendrix out of Irmo, South Carolina. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound running back is set to join the Cowboys next season.

"First I would like to give the highest praises to God for all the blessings he has given me. I am also so grateful for all the coaches that showed support and helped me get here. I would like to thank my family and friends for all their support during this process. I’M HOME," Allen-Hendrix wrote on social media.

Allen-Hendrix is unranked out of South Carolina, though he holds plenty of talent combined with his size. In his senior year of high school, Allen-Hendrix had 2,215 rushing yards on 232 carries for 25 rushing touchdowns. He was beneficial through the air, too, picking up four additional touchdowns and 363 yards on 21 receptions.

Two weeks ago, the Cowboys offered Allen-Hendrix marking his first Power Five offer. He visited Stillwater this past weekend, which seemed to have gone well considering he committed to Oklahoma State just after the visit.

Through May of 2023, Allen-Hendrix had picked up ten different offers, though none were as prestigious as Oklahoma State.

Coming to Stillwater as an unranked recruit could fare well for Allen-Hendrix, who is joining a program known for identifying talent and developing them over time. He joins the program where he'll be able to back up some impressive talent, one of those potentially being Doak Walker award-winner Ollie Gordon, should he decide to return next season.
