Oklahoma State Opens as Hefty Favorite Over BYU

The Cowboys are projected to take a solid win over BYU next Saturday.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys got back on the right side of the win column last Saturday as they took down Houston 43-30. While they didn't get off to an incredible start, a mid-game turnaround led to a comeback.

When the Cowboys got going on both sides of the ball, they looked like the same team that went on a five-game win streak. That team that showed up is dangerous in this conference. Now, they try to take that momentum to Saturday when they take on BYU for the season finale.

This is a huge game for the Cowboys. The Big 12 conference championship game is within arm's reach, but staying focused and simply winning the football game is the most important thing for them.

With it being the final home game, the Cowboys recapturing momentum and with the stakes behind the game, the Cowboys opened as 17.5-point favorites, according to ESPNBET

It's hard to imagine the Cowboys cover in this one. BYU has to win this game to reach bowl eligibility. They played Oklahoma incredibly close just a week ago, losing by one score. Their offense and run game in particular took a turn for the better.

If the Cougars play similarly to how they did against the Sooners, they'll make this game tough for the Cowboys. However, a couple of games back, Iowa State dominated the Cougars.

With the Cowboys having a chance to punch a ticket to end up in Arlington playing in a Big 12 Championship game, it's hard to imagine they don't show up in a big way on Saturday. They've had a big crowd behind them in every single home game, and it'll be the same this weekend.

If the Cowboys can play to their identity early, they'll be in a good position to take this game, and now allowing the Cougars to run the ball and stay in the game will be huge.
