On Saturday, Oklahoma State landed two commitments from the transfer portal. One of the two was offensive lineman Isaia Glass, who transferred from Arizona State with two years of eligibility remaining.

Oklahoma State is a great destination for offensive linemen, as they were the unsung heroes of this past season. Well, not exactly unsung if you count Doak Walker award-winner Ollie Gordon's consistent praise and credit to his line. Still, the program is returning five starters on the line and has proven to be somewhere they can find success.

After suffering an injury in practice, just before Arizona State was set to take on Utah, Glass decided he wanted to transfer.

"It came down to -- I missed a good amount of games due to injury and I wanted to redshirt. Me and the head coach weren't on the same page."

While Glass was out with injury and had already announced his intention to transfer after the season -- he spent time rehabbing and preparing to return for offseason workouts.

Glass was in Stillwater last Monday through Wednesday for his official visit. He was recruited by Oklahoma State before committing to Arizona State in 2020. The former three-star had a prior relationship with the Cowboys, which helped make his transfer process easier. Having an established relationship with Charlie Dickey, the team's offensive line coach, gave the program an edge as Glass bonded best with Dickey.

"I like the college town vibe -- definitely not as busy as Tempe -- but that's kind of what I was going for," Glass said of Stillwater during his visit. "It was nice being able to get out there and watch their bowl practices, seeing the coaches in action."

Oklahoma State bringing in Glass for a visit ultimately helped him make his decision, as he enjoyed his visit more than he expected to.

"I think that visit had a big part in it," Glass said. "Seeing how the coaches are and being a part of a winning culture. Just being somewhere where winning is just regular. Just having that stability, those were main game changers."

With the Cowboys being a perennial bowl-eligible team and staring at a huge opportunity to compete for Big 12 titles on a yearly basis in the new-look conference, the program is a unique destination for recruits.

Glass said he's excited about the opportunity to have a fresh environment and new place to continue improving and getting better both on and off the field. He also said he's looking forward to playing his old team as Arizona State travels to Stillwater during the 2024 season.
