To start the college football season, the Oklahoma State Cowboys' offense was rough. They were struggling against teams like Central Arkansas and Arizona State. Then, they took a brutal 33-7 loss against South Alabama. The offense was putrid and Ollie Gordon received just five total touches.

After that loss, Gordon was made a focal point offensively, receiving the bulk of the snaps in the backfield. In the three games since, he's amassed at least 100 yards on the ground. Seemingly, the Cowboys' record has turned around in a drastic way.

Coming off two upset wins in a row, Oklahoma State has seen a turnaround that has completely changed the way people think about this team, and Gordon has played a huge part in it. Against Kansas, the team's most recent win, Gordon had 284 all-purpose yards as a running back.

Gordon saw 29 carries, which went for 168 rushing yards and a touchdown, and he added six receptions, which he took for 116 yards and a receiving touchdown. Again, Gordon has transformed this offense.

With the monster game that led to Oklahoma State's 39-32 win over Kansas, Gordon earned the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Now with a prominent role in the offense, the sophomore running back has 87 carries on the season for 534 yards -- an average of 6.1 yards per carry. He's got four touchdowns on the ground to back up his elite play.

After a huge game in the passing game, Gordon also has 180 yards on 17 receptions and the lone touchdown in the air.

Overall, Gordon is having a monster season, and if he returns next season, will remain a focal point in this offense for a very long time. He's good enough that it didn't matter who was under center, the offense was going to be alright.
