While the Oklahoma State Cowboys are going through spring football, there’s also some news on the recruiting trail. They’re in the mix for a local 2025 offensive tackle. The local prospect released his top eight programs while setting his commitment date for May 21.

Antoni Kade Ogumoro is a 6-foot-5, 290-pound offensive tackle from Elgin, OK. Among his final eight programs in his recruitment are Oklahoma, Kansas State, Missouri, Tennessee, NC State, Houston and North Carolina.

With two other Big 12 teams in the mix, the Cowboys have in-conference competition to land Ogumoro. On top of that, they’ve got in-state competition with the Sooners. Oklahoma is known to develop some talented offensive linemen under Bill Bedenbaugh’s leadership, and their move to the SEC makes the program more appealing for a recruit. Other SEC teams like Missouri and Tennessee also make interesting competition.

Ogumoro’s tie to the two North Carolina schools – UNC and NC State – is his former hometown in North Carolina, as he moved to Elgin, OK, from Jacksonville, NC. He attended White Oak High School before making the move to Oklahoma.

Oklahoma State offered Ogumoro on Jan. 26, before programs like Oklahoma, Kansas State and Missouri offered.

Ogumoro would be a huge commitment to Oklahoma State. A big part of their identity comes in the run game, as was headlined by Ollie Gordon a season ago and plenty of other great running backs in years past. They’re returning their entire starting line, while also returning depth and bringing in the position in the transfer portal.

Oklahoma State has made a clear focus on bringing in solid offense linemen in recent history, so securing Ogumoro in the 2025 class would bolster the position's long-term outlook.

This season, the Cowboys have the opportunity to make themselves a more appealing landing spot for recruits. They’re a consistent program, and with Oklahoma and Texas out of the Big 12, they’ve got an opportunity to consistently compete for the conference championship, which would leave them as a perennial playoff team in the new era of the playoffs.
