Big recruiting weekend for Oklahoma State

It's going to be a huge recruiting weekend for Oklahoma State with, and I don't just mean football.

STILLWATER -- If you didn't already know that this was going to be a massive recruiting weekend for Oklahoma State, then you're about to find out. A couple of days ago, I wrote about how Oklahoma State 2020 four-star quarterback commit Shane Illingworth will be in town this weekend for an unofficial visit against Kansas State.

Well, he's not going to be the only four-star in town. Four-star all-purpose back Daniyel Ngata out of Folsom, CA will be on an official visit, the last of his officials in fact.

Ngata, 5-9, 180-pounds, checks in as the No. 55 ranked prospect in the 2020 class, the No. 2 all-purpose back in the class and the No. 7 ranked overall prospect out of California according to the 247Sports Composite.

This season with Folsom, Ngata has carried the ball 39 times for 245 yards, an average of 6.3 per carry with five touchdowns.

According to both Rivals and 247Sports, it appears that Ngata will only be taking three official visits, Oklahoma State this weekend and he's already been to Texas A&M on June 21 and Arizona State on Sept. 20.

Also going to be in the West End Zone this weekend is three-star tight end/cowboy back prospect Jasper Lott out of Argyle, TX. Lott was offered by the Pokes this week and is in the class of 2021 and was teammates with current Cowboy freshman lineman Preston Wilson.

For some people, they've been waiting on this visit for about three years now. Five-star combo guard out of Booker T. Washington, Bryce Thompson will be on campus this weekend for his official visit.

Thompson is the No. 19 overall prospect in the 2020 class, the No. 4 ranked combo guard in the country and the No. 1 overall prospect from Oklahoma according to the 247Sports Composite.

Despite not being ranked any higher, many analysts have considered Thompson on of the best overall prospects in the 2020 class and it's very possible that we'll see Thompson climb into the top-10.

Thompson is also high on Kansas, Michigan State, North Carolina and Oklahoma, but Mike Boynton and Co. have put an incredible amount of time and energy into Thompson since the very start of the recruiting process and will be trying to get that coveted verbal commitment this weekend.
