Oklahoma State Opens as Short Favorite Against UCF

The Cowboys are favored on the road in Orlando next Saturday.

After coming off an emotional Bedlam win on Saturday, Oklahoma State will open as the favorite against UCF.

The Cowboys come in as 1-point favorites against the Knights. It will be only the fifth time this season that OSU will be favored.

Oklahoma State is coming off a game where it racked up 481 total yards, including 147 rushing yards. Ollie Gordon was the main man on the ground game as he secured 137 yards and two touchdowns.

OSU offensive coordinator Kasey Dunn said Gordon’s impact has been amazing, and he is going to continue to ride with him.

“He's done a phenomenal job for us, he stayed really, really focused,” Dunn said. “I just want to keep giving him the football because he's not a prima donna in any way. I'm just so excited for the kid."

UCF comes in after getting past Cincinnati with a 28-26 victory on Saturday. Running back RJ Harvey was the story as he had 164 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

The Knights are electric on the ground, for they are ranked fourth in the country in rushing offense, averaging over 227 rushing yards per game.

OSU will counter that with a rushing defense that is ranked 96th in the country, giving up 168 yards per game and five yards per carry. The Cowboys will have to rely on Nick Martin and the front seven of the defense to make some plays on Harvey and the UCF offense.

With the way Ollie Gordon has been going, OSU always has a chance in any game. If Gordon and Harvey get going for both teams, look for an offensive shootout next Saturday.

Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. in Orlando, FL. The game can be seen on ESPN.
