Former Ole Miss guard and current Toronto Raptor Terence Davis was arrested on Tuesday night in New York City and is being charged with the assault of a woman and criminal mischief, according to NYPD.

Davis reportedly hit his ex-girlfriend outside the Beekman Hotel, grabbing and breaking her phone around 8:30 p.m., police said.

The Toronto Raptors are yet to release a statement, but Sports Illustrated's Raptors reporter Aaron Rose has said that the team is 'looking into the matter.'

Davis, 23, is coming off his rookie season in which he was legitimately one of the best in the league after going undrafted out of Ole Miss. He averaged 7.5 points for the Raptors.

This is a developing story. We will have more information as news comes out.
