Ole Miss Set to Host 2024 Auburn Decommit Peyton Marshall for Official Visit

In this story:
The Ole Miss Rebels lost both meetings against the Auburn Tigers this past season, but are getting some sweet revenge against their SEC foe in the offseason.
After Ole Miss snagged a commitment from Auburn transfer guard Allen Flanigan on Tuesday - who will be following his dad, Wes Flanigan, a former Auburn assistant coach and newly-appointed Rebel - the team remains focused on another player with Auburn ties.
The Rebels will host 2024 Kell (Marietta, GA.) center and Auburn decommit Peyton Marshall for an official visit on Thursday, he told On3.

Marshall, who boasts a massive 7-foot, 310-pound frame, has already been courted by coach Chris Beard and staff this offseason following his decommitment on April 14. Beard made an in-home visit with Marshall earlier this month, but will now have Wes Flanigan - who helped recruit Marshall to Auburn - by his side during the recruiting process.

The Rebels and former coach Kermit Davis had originally offered Marshall back in May 2022, well before it was even in the realm of possibility that Beard would end up at Ole Miss. But while he and staff have been paving a revamped recruiting trail straight to Oxford, Marshall has remained on the program's radar.
Securing a commitment from Marshall would only add another success to what has been an impressive offseason of recruiting for the Rebels. Including Allen Flanigan, Beard has already landed four other transfer pickups in Oklahoma State's Moussa Cisse, Georgetown's Brandon Murray, Arizona State's Austin Nunez and Western Kentucky's Jamarion Sharp.
Adding Marshall to the fold for the future would bring another layer of excitement for a program on the rise.
