Ole Miss Women's Basketball Learns NCAA Tournament Seed, Destination

Ole Miss Rebels women's basketball is bound for the NCAA Tournament once again, claiming a spot as a No. 7 seed on Selection Sunday.
Ole Miss' NCAA Tournament appearance marks the third straight season that Coach Yo's Rebels have made the field, the first time since 1994-96 that the program has made the Big Dance three years in a row.
The Rebels are set to open action in the NCAA Tournament against No. 10 Marquette, hosted by Notre Dame. Other teams who will join Ole Miss in South Bend are the aforementioned Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Kent State.
Ole Miss was eliminated in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament on March 9 in a 75-67 loss to the LSU Tigers, and it has awaited Sunday's selection show ever since to learn its postseason destination. LSU was then, in turn, eliminated in the finals of the conference tournament by top-seeded South Carolina by a final score of 79-72.

Yolett McPhee-McCuin's team finished the regular campaign with an overall record of 23-8 and a 12-4 mark in SEC play, and it will look to build on a superb showing seen in last year's NCAA Tournament.
In 2023, the Rebels were able to reach the Sweet 16 of the tournament, taking down No. 1-seed Stanford before falling to the No. 5 Louisville Cardinals.
