OXFORD, Miss. -- The Ole Miss Rebels took the nation by storm this offseason, reeling in the No. 3 transfer class, per On3, and while majority of their commits are established stars, two new arrivals are coming off lackluster 2023 campaigns due to injuries.

Enter receiver Antwane "Juice" Wells and running back Logan Diggs. Oxford will be the third stop for both players, as Wells has played for James Madison and South Carolina, while Diggs has suited up for Notre Dame and LSU. Wells and Diggs spent majority of their 2023 seasons dealing with injuries, so the two will aim to start a healthier and more productive chapter at Ole Miss in 2024. Wells is currently rated as the third-best receiver in the portal this offseason, and Diggs is ranked as the eleventh-best tailback in this cycle.

247Sports released rankings for the 20 transfers who have the most to prove in 2024, and both Wells and Diggs made the cut. You can read their excerpts below.

"Considering 2023 injuries, this season acts as a redemption arc for [Wells]. Wells, who transferred to South Carolina from James Madison in 2022, racked up 828 yards receiving and six touchdowns his first season, blossoming into an immediate star in the SEC before he started only three games last fall. He joins a wideout room that includes returning starts Tre Harris and Jordan Watkins, so he needs to earn his targets." -- 247Sports

"The last chance for [Diggs] to find stardom once more comes at Ole Miss, where he battles for first-team duties. The top performance of his career came in Notre Dame's bowl win over South Carolina more than a year ago and he hopes to find that swagger again. With the Tigers last season, Diggs managed 119 carries for 653 yards and seven touchdowns. He was second in the team in rushing yards behind Heisman-winning quarterback Jayden Daniels." -- 247Sports

Wells went from recording nearly 1,000 receiving yards and seven total touchdowns in his first year in the SEC, to just three catches for 37 yards and one touchdown in 2023. He is now part of a crowded receiver room at Ole Miss, but a healthy season from Wells should see him put up similar numbers to 2022.

Diggs saw more action than Wells did last year, but his injury could force him to miss the start of the 2024 season. Whenever he does return to the gridiron, Diggs will be joining a backfield committee led by senior Ulysses Bentley IV and returning sophomore Kedrick Reescano.
