Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels are reportedly adding a new piece to their staff in the form of DJ Mann, 247 has reported on Saturday. Mann is set to become the Rebels' assistant director of player personnel after being a high school coach in Texas, most recently serving as the head coach at Coronado High School in Lubbock. He has also served as a recruiting coordinator in the past.

This continues a trend of the Rebels seemingly looking to expand its prep recruiting base after multiple new staff additions in this realm this offseason. Although much of Ole Miss' recruiting strategy over the last few years has revolved around the transfer portal, the addition of solid prep recruiting is still a vital aspect of the college game, and Mann's addition should help in that area.

The Rebels have made multiple strong additions to their staff this offseason, including Bryan Brown (defensive backs), George McDonald (wide receivers) and former NFL head coach Joe Judge. Alongside Mann and Alex Brown, the Ole Miss has also added key names in the world of player personnel and scouting in the forms of Mike Williams and Billy Glasscock.

Ole Miss is currently in the midst of spring drills, a span of time that will conclude with The Grove Bowl on April 13. The Rebels will then open their season at home on Aug. 31 against the Furman Paladins.
