Ole Miss Lands Virginia Tech Transfer Tight End Dae'Quan Wright

The Ole Miss Rebels have added another talented piece to their 2024 NCAA Transfer Portal Haul in the form of former Virginia Tech tight end Dae'Quan Wright.

The Ole Miss Rebels already have arguably the best transfer haul in college football.

In fact, per 247Sports, the Rebels rank No. 1 ahead of Texas A&M, Florida State, Colorado, Oregon and Louisville. While, per On3, the Rebels come in at No. 3 just behind Louisville and Colorado.

Now, the Rebels have added to that transfer haul yet again, earning a commitment from former Virginia Tech tight end Dae'Quan Wright.

Dae'Quan Wright

Wright made his commitment on the heels of a visit to Oxford this weekend, alongside a host of other transfer talents, including Alabama linebacker Kendrick Blackshire.

Last season with the Hokies, Wright Wright was a key part of the offensive attack, catching 28 passes for 366 yards in 12 games as a sophomore. In his freshman season, Wright made 19 grabs for 208 yards in seven games.

Wright is now the 14th transfer to join the Rebels this offseason, as well as the fifth on the offensive side of the ball, joining wide receivers Juice Wells (South Carolina) and Devin Price (FAU), offensive tackle Diego Pounds (North Carolina) and running back Logan Diggs (LSU).

The Rebels have also added top defensive talents such as Walter Nolen (Texas A&M), Princely Umanmielen (Florida), Tyler Baron (Tennessee), Key Lawrence (Oklahoma) and Chris Paul (Arkansas) among others.
