OXFORD, Miss. -- The Ole Miss Rebels set a new program record in 2023 with their first 11-win season, and now the experts are predicting them to reach similar heights in 2024, despite boasting an even better roster this time around.

CFB Hourglass released record projections for every team in the Southeastern Conference on Wednesday, and Ole Miss has been predicted to finish their 2024 campaign tied for second place in the league with the Georgia Bulldogs. Both Ole Miss and Georgia are projected to finish with 11-1 records.

Interestingly, the Texas Longhorns are forecasted to be the team that takes advantage of Nick Saban's retirement, receiving a perfect 12-0 prediction, per That SEC Podcast.

Ole Miss' only loss of the 2024 regular season is projected to be at home against Georgia, but an 11-1 record will likely guarantee a spot in the newly expanded college football playoff. Over/under win total projections were released recently by FanDuel Sportsbook, and the Rebels came in at 9.5 wins.

The Rebels are expected to be in the thick of things when the postseason rolls around in 2024, after they loaded up with one of the best transfer portal classes in the nation this offseason.
