OXFORD, Miss. -- The Southeastern Conference has a handful of programs competing for a college football national title in 2023, but some teams like the Ole Miss Rebels are just trying to get a crack at the SEC Championship Game.

Since the league was split into two divisions ahead of the 1992 season, the Rebels have never appeared in the SEC Championship Game, despite winning a share of one division title in 2003 to the LSU Tigers. CBS Sports released the 2023 SEC championship odds created by Caesars Sportsbook on Wednesday and rated which team was the best bet, worst wager, the best value pick, and the long shot to win the conference trophy.

Ole Miss is sitting in the middle of the pack with the sixth-best odds to win the SEC title at +4000, tied with the Auburn Tigers. Here are the conference title odds for the rest of the SEC:

Georgia Bulldogs (-110)

Alabama Crimson Tide (+240)

LSU Tigers (+450)

Texas A&M Aggies (+1200)

Tennessee Volunteers (+1400)

Auburn Tigers  (+4000)

Ole Miss Rebels (+4000)

Florida Gators (+6000)

South Carolina Gamecocks (+10000)

Arkansas Razorbacks (+10000)

Mississippi State Bulldogs (+12500)

Missouri Tigers (+20000)

Kentucky Wildcats (+20000)

Vanderbilt Commodores (+75000)

Georgia was labeled the best bet of the group, coming off back-to-back national titles. The worst wager was declared to be Texas A&M, which has been given the fourth-best odds to win the SEC title this fall. The Aggies, led by coach Jimbo Fisher, have not beaten the Rebels since 2019. LSU was named the best value pick with the third-best odds, and Arkansas was designated as the long shot to take home the SEC title with +10000 odds.

The road to the 2023 SEC title game is a rocky one for Ole Miss. The Rebels face an early challenge in Week 2 when they travel to take on the Tulane Green Wave, before beginning conference play in Week 4 with a road trip versus the Alabama Crimson Tide. Ole Miss will then host LSU and Arkansas in back-to-back home games, respectively, before hitting the road to take on Auburn. The Rebels finally cap off their regular season by traveling to take on the defending national champions less than two weeks before they play rival Mississippi State in Starkville for the Golden Egg.
