It goes without saying that Ole Miss can't host a standard version of their Rebel Choice Awards show this spring, a banquet honoring a variety of Rebel athletes across campus. 

Instead, they'll be holding their 2020 Rebel Choice Awards show virtually, announcing the winners on Twitter beginning this upcoming Monday, April 20. The show features 15 separate categories, with the winners to be chosen by Ole Miss' Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. 

Nominees for the 15 categories began rolling out on the Rebel social media accounts earlier this week. Not all nominees for all categories have been released yet, but a few are starting to trickle out. Here's what we know to this point. 

Nominees for Women's Team of the Year:

  • Cross Country - recorded the highest finish in program history, runners up in the SEC and the NCAA South Regional.
  • Golf - won the program's first ever SEC title, finishing top-15 in the NCAA Championships. 
  • Rifle - Set 10 of the top-15 aggregate totals in school history. 
  • Softball - finished with a 41-20 record, winning the NCAA Oxford Regional. 

Nominees for Men's Team of the Year:

  • Baseball - won their 10th NCAA Regional, finishing second in the SEC Tournament.
  • Cross Country - repeated as SEC Champions, won fourth NCAA South Regional title in six years. 
  • Tennis - reached 26th straight NCAA tournament.

Nominees for Women's Coach of the Year:

  • Marsha Beasley, Ole Miss Rifle - guided Ole Miss to 10 of the school's top-15 aggregate totals in history and a No. 5 ranking this season.
  • Kory Hekes, Ole Miss Women's Golf - led the team to the first ever SEC title in program history this season. 
  • Connie Price-Smith, Ole Miss Track - coached 15 Rebel women's NCAA qualifiers this season. 

Nominees for Men's Coach of the Year:

  • Mike Bianco, Ole Miss Baseball - led Ole Miss to their 6th ever NCAA Super Regional.
  • Toby Hasson, Ole Miss Men's Tennis - received their 26th straight NCAA bid
  • Ryan Vanhoy, Ole Miss Cross Country - repeated as SEC Champions this year, as well as winning the NCAA South Region. 

Nominees for Women's Rookie of the Year

  • Skylar Boogerd, Cross Country - finished 19th at the SEC Championships. 
  • Jasmine Mitchell, Track & Field - SEC runner-up in the weight throw, NCAA qualifier.
  • Mo O'Connor, Soccer - SEC All-Freshman Team, scored twice while appearing in all 20 matches. 
  • Brandee Presley, Track & Field - 2019 US U20 Champion in the 100-meter dash. Broke two Ole Miss outdoor records. 
  • Macy Somoskey, Golf - finished tied for 51st in her NCAA debut at the Norman Regional.
  • Tate Whitley, Softball - ,ade 52 starts in left field en route to being named to the SEC-All Freshman team.

Nominees for Men's Rookie of the Year:

  • Cole Bullock, Cross Country - named the SEC Men's Freshman of the year and Second-Team All-SEC.
  • Jerrion Ealy, Football - named a Freshman All-American after recording 722 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns. 
  • Dalton Hengst, Men's Track - named the SEC Outdoor Men's Freshman of the year after finishing 21st nationally in the 1500-meter.
  • Doug Nikhazy, Baseball - freshman All-American after recording 86 strikeouts and a 3.31 ERA. 
  • Jackson Suber, Men's Golf - placed 12th at the NCAA Stanford Regional
