Oregon wrapped up its eleventh spring football practice on Saturday, taking the action to Autzen Stadium for its second scrimmage.

Will Stein is installing his offense and new faces are getting settled in at Oregon.

We'll get our first look at Oregon Football in 2023 next weekend when the Ducks hold their annual spring game on Saturday April 29 at 1:00 pm PT.

Following Saturday's scrimmage, head coach Dan Lanning met with reporters to discuss his takeaways.

Below you'll find video and some of the notable quotes.

Opening Statement: "Great competition today. A lot of good situational football. We started off tackle at the beginning. Guys were able to stay relatively healthy which is always good but you gotta be able to get that physical contact to be able to play ball. Really did a good job early with the offense moving the ball down the field and being able to punch it in and get some early scores. Then kind of came back with the defense and third down and some of the situational football at the end. Different from last scrimmage we actually had more takeaways in this scrimmage. Gotta do a better job of protecting the ball offensively and then gotta continue to do a good job attacking it defensively. Can't get too excited or too upset either way there, but obviously some things to improve on. Saw a lot of young guys able to step up. I think we got a lot of good reps. One of probably our higher rep count scrimmages. Good for us to be able to see a lot of guys play."

Question: What do you see out of Bucky and Noah today and throughout the rest of spring camp so far?

Lanning: "I just think it's always fun for running backs, especially when it becomes tackle. Because you're not going down on a thud anymore and they're able to break some tackles, create some positive plays. The other thing that we've been able to do with those guys is move them in and out of the backfield a little bit. They both catch the ball well. But seeing them line up at different positions and execute is good to see."

Question: How do you feel like your guys have done in pre-snap penalties and mistakes?

Lanning: "I think we can be better there. Good at times. Poor at times. When you try to have variations and change the way you do things, that's when you see probably more of those penalties show up offensively and defensively. They key is that you want to have some changeups. You want to be able to change your cadence. You want to be able to have different elements and when you do it you want to be able to execute at a high level."

Question: With a couple of new receivers having come in this offseason how do you see that dynamic work in with Bo? Working with both Traeshon and Tez in particular with the first-team offense, just how that's come together in these scrimmage settings?

Lanning: "I think each day those newcomers are getting better and better. Traeshon made some great catches today. Has proven to do a good job of attacking the ball and playing strong at the point of attack. And Tez continues to show up. His speed continues to show up. Certainly we've got a dynamic room right now there with what we think we have coming in and with the combination of guys that are here."

Question: Marcus Harper able to give it a go today?

Lanning: "No he was not. We're gonna be precautionary with Marcus and not put him back out there in the fire."
