Penn State's Drew Allar Expected to Play Vs. Michigan State

In this story:
Penn State quarterback Drew Allar is available for tonight's game against Michigan State, six days after being injured against Rutgers. The starting quarterback sustained an undisclosed upper body injury last week and did not play for most of the second half against the Scarlet Knights. Nittany Lions coach James Franklin said this week that he expected Allar to be ready for the game, and the quarterback was not listed on the pregame availability report that Penn State provided to the Big Ten.
However, Franklin added ahead of tonight's game at Ford Field in Detroit that he anticipates playing Allar and Beau Pribula at quarterback against the Spartans. Pribula replaced Allar against Rutgers, rushing for a team-high 71 yards and a touchdown in Penn State's 27-6 victory.
"If we were game-planning for Drew to be the primary quarterback, it would be a little different for Beau to be the primary quarterback," Franklin said Tuesday in State College. "We would emphasize different things. That's why it's good, when you guys asked me before, I said our model and plan doesn't need to change based on the information we have right now."

Elsewhere on the availability report, Penn State receiver Harrison Wallace III is out for the fourth consecutive game. Wallace has not played since sustaining an upper body injury against Indiana. This marks the fifth game Wallace has missed this season. No Penn State players were listed as questionable.
