In this story:

PITTSBURGH -- The computers may not like the Pitt Panthers very much but ESPN Bracketologist Joe Lunardi does. After holding them on his bubble for the past few weeks, Lunardi has Pitt solidly in his latest projected field

In his updated bracket projection, Lunardi has the Panthers as a No. 9 seed in the South Region. They'd play No. 8 Michigan State in Birmingham, Alabama in their opening round matchup. The winner of that game would move on to face top-seeded Alabama in Birmingham as well.

This is a marked improvement for Pitt, who had been floating around the Last Four In before knocking off No. 20 Miami at home and completing a season sweep of North Carolina on the road earlier this week. The Panthers have the weekend off before returning to action at home against Louisville next week.
