Kevin Durant Shouts Out Legendary Pitt PG

In this story:
PITTSBURGH -- Former Pitt Panthers point guard Levance Fields was back in Pittsburgh as the program honored him and the rest of the 2008-09 Elite Eight team during the first half of a 70-60 win over Notre Dame.
Fields highlighted one of the greatest moments in his career and Pitt basketball history - his game-winning 3-pointer against Duke at Madison Square Garden - on his shirt and NBA legend Kevin Durant made sure to stop by on social media to pay his respects to "the point god."

Durant's one year at Texas coincided with Fields' sophomore year, before Fields really became a star. Durant averaged 25.8 points, 11.1 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and 1.9 steals during the 2006-07 season, during which he was named a consensus All-American, the Wooden and Naismith Award winner and a first-team All-Big XII selection.
Fields broke out the following year, averaging 11.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game and earning the first of two First Team All Big East selections.
And while Durant had the more decorated college career personally, Fields did make it further than he did in the NCAA Tournament.
