Pitt Basketball Reveals New Jersey Numbers

PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers underwent some major roster turnover from last season and brought in roster now consisting almost halfway with new bodies.
This week, those new bodies - all seven of them, to be exact - picked the numbers that will mark their Pitt uniforms.

One of Pitt's two big transfer additions of the offseason - High Point Panther Zack Austin - will hold on to the No. 55 that he's worn for all of his career. Meanwhile, Rhode Island transfer Ishmael Leggett, will switch from No. 10 to No. 5.
The highly-touted freshman class got their first college numbers as well. Papa Kante took No. 4, Carlton Carrington claimed No. 7, Marlon Barnes Jr. will wear No. 11 and Jaland Lowe went with No. 15.
Also revealed in their jersey number announcement was the addition of a new player - walk-on Benjamin Mayhew. The Braddock Hills native is a 6'4 forward and will wear No. 13.
