Pitt F Earns Preseason All-ACC Honors

Pitt Panthers forward Blake Hinson was named an All-ACC first-teamer by The Field of 68.

PITTSBURGH -- Blake Hinson's final season as a Pitt Panther is expected to be even better than his debut in the blue and gold and he's now got some preseason honors to affirm that hype.

Hinson was the lone Panthers player selected to the Field of 68 and College Basketball Almanac's preseason All-ACC first team. He'll try to take a step forward after landing on the All-ACC second team after his stellar senior season with Pitt.

Hinson earned all-conference honors last season after averaging 15.3 points and six rebounds per game, both team bests. He also led the Panthers in 3-point shooting with 97 makes on 38% shooting from deep.

He tested NBA Draft waters this past spring while retaining his final season of eligibility and ultimately decided to return for one more season in the blue and gold.
