Pitt G Hits Career Milestone Against Florida

In this story:
PITTSBURGH -- Starting guard Ishmael Leggett was one of the few bright spots for the Pitt Panthers in their 86-71 loss to Florida in the opening round of the NIT Season Tip-Off at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
He scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds while making three of eight 3-point field goal attempts and one of those triples, which he made early in the second half to knot the game at 39, marked a special milestone for him personally. With that bucket, Leggett surpassed the 1,000-point threshold for his career.
A tie game and 1,000 career points for @great8ish 💪

Leggett flew under the radar as one of Pitt's many offseason additions meant to help account for the losses of four crucial members of the stellar backcourt that led the program to its first NCAA Tournament berth in seven years, but he's been outstanding through five games in 2023.
The transfer from Rhode Island has averaged 15 points on 42% shooting from the field and a 39% clip from 3-point range, four assists and eight rebounds per game through five contests this season.
