Pitt F Slams Loud Dunk in Blowout Win

In this story:
PITTSBURGH -- It's been tough sledding for Pitt Panthers forward Zack Austin lately. But after a slow start to the 2023 season and subsequent benching, Austin exploded for a breakout game against South Carolina State.
Austin played just three minutes in the first half but Pitt head coach Jeff Capel used him extensively after halftime and he gave his head coach every reason to. Austin scored all 12 of his points following intermission, two of which came on a poster dunk in transition.

He added five rebounds and two blocked shots as well as the Panthers rolled over South Carolina State at the Petersen Events Center. This is Pitt's second-to-last non-conference game of the year.
Pitt head coach Jeff Capel said he was proud of how Austin responded after being benched and playing just 26 minutes over the previous five halves of basketball before his breakout performance against the Bulldogs.
