He spent one season with the Bulldogs, appearing in one game and making one tackle before deciding to transfer. Washington was a unanimous four-star recruit coming out of Grovetown High School in Georgia, a consensus top-15 player in the state and top 20 cornerback in the class of 2022. He chose Georgia over the likes of Oregon, Florida State, Arkansas, West Virginia, UCF, NC State and Georgia Tech.
Washington is the third transfer portal defensive back the Panthers have contacted since the end of spring practices. Georgia Southern's Anthony Wilson and Ole Miss' Markevious Brown were the other two.
