Pitt RB Daniel Carter Did Not Travel to North Carolina

In this story:
CHAPEL HILL -- The Pitt Panthers are in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, looking to redeem themselves from last week's loss to Louisville and get back in contention in the ACC's Coastal Division.
Their path to a victory at Kenan Memorial Stadium got harder when running back Daniel Carter did not make the trip with the Panthers. He was not on the travel roster the team issues before every road game.

Carter's a strong blocker and has scored twice on the ground this year. The reason why Carter is not with the team is unknown.
Wide receiver Gavin Thomson also did not travel. He appeared to suffer a lower body injury late in the game against Louisville while making a difficult, toe-tap catch along the sideline. Thomson was put on scholarship during training camp this summer.
Pitt's receiver depth was already thin with starter Bub Means sidelined with a knee injury suffered prior to the Louisville game. Jaylon Barden will start in his place, Pat Narduzzi said.
