PITTSBURGH -- Former Pitt Panthers running back James Conner will miss a minimum of four games for the Arizona Cardinals after suffering a knee injury this past weekend that forced him out of a game against the Cincinnati Bengals in the second quarter.
Conner, who starred for Pitt from 2013 to 2016, has been placed on the Cardinals' injured reserve this week, according to a report from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Conner has helped power the Cardinals offense so far this season, rushing for 318 yards and two touchdowns in four games. He exited in the second quarter after gaining 48 yards on six carries. Conner was able to jog off the field and to the locker room after he was examined in the medical tent.
Conner, the 2014 ACC Player of the Year, ended his career as the ACC's all-time leader in rushing touchdowns and ranks second in Pitt history in rushing yards and touchdowns and third in points scored. He was drafted in the third round by the Steelers in 2017 and has enjoyed a strong seven-year career in Pittsburgh and Arizona ever since.
