Jordan Addison Enters Concussion Protocol

Former Pitt Panthers receiver Jordan Addison will be sidelined for a weekend.

PITTSBURGH -- A former Pitt Panthers receiver will have to sit out this weekend's NFL preseason action, the penultimate round of exhibitions before the regular season begins.

Jordan Addison, the Minnesota Vikings' 20234 first-round pick by way of Pitt and USC, is in concussion protocol and will not return to action before next week, according to head coach Kevin O'Connell.

Addison was a show-stopping talent during his tenure with the Panthers, amassing nearly 1,600 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns to earn 2021 Biletnikoff Award honors. He transferred to USC the following season and caught 59 passes for 875 yards and eight touchdowns while battling an injury in his final collegiate season.

The Vikings selected Addison with the 23rd overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, making him the third former Pitt player to have been picked in the first round in the past two years.
