Jordan Addison Catches First NFL Touchdown

Former Pitt Panthers wideout Jordan Addison scored for the first time in his NFL career.

PITTSBURGH -- Former Pitt Panthers wideout Jordan Addison took just about a quarter to announce himself as a crucial part of the Minnesota Vikings passing attack.

Early in the second quarter of the season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - with former Pitt teammate Calijah Kancey on the other side - Addison went streaking past a defensive back and Kirk Cousins laid a perfect pass in for a 39-yard touchdown.

Addison was a show-stopping talent during his tenure with the Panthers, amassing nearly 1,600 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns to earn 2021 Biletnikoff Award honors. He transferred to USC the following season and caught 59 passes for 875 yards and eight touchdowns while battling an injury in his final collegiate season.

The Vikings took him with the 23rd overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, making him the third former Panther selected in the first round over the past two years.
