Paris Ford Re-Signs with USFL's New Jersey Generals

PITTSBURGH -- The USFL will be back for a fourth season next spring and former Pitt Panthers safety Paris Ford will be back with them.
The former Pitt star, Ford has re-signed with the New Jersey Generals after playing a breakout season for them in 2023. James Larsen of USFL Newsroom first reported the news.

Ford, a two-time All-ACC selection in 2019 and 2020, left Pitt in the middle of the 2020 season, following a blowout loss to Notre Dame, and was not selected in the 2021 NFL Draft. He caught on with the Los Angeles Rams, signing as a free agent in May but was waived on August 23.
He's spent the years since in the USFL with the Generals, who picked him in the fourth round of the 2022 USFL Supplemental Draft. He played sparingly in his first season with New Jersey, tallying an interception and eight tackles during the 2022 campaign. He broke out in 2023, appearing in nine games and starting seven while amassing 51 tackles and another interception. He was excellent in coverage
