SirVocea Dennis Remains Out of Buccaneers Practice

In this story:
PITTSBURGH -- Former Pitt Panthers linebacker SirVocea Dennis has spent all week sitting out of practices as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers join the New York Jets for joint practices.
Dennis, a three-time All-ACC selection who led Pitt in tackling each of the past three seasons, played and started, in fact in the Buccaneers' preseason opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers and head coach Todd Bowles said at the beginning of the week that he was simply "sore" following his first real NFL game. But what had been a rest day has turned into five straight days without practicing.
Rookie LB SirVocea Dennis is still not back in the mix at practice but he’s doing a lot of running on the next field over.

Dennis is progressing and has started to move despite not practicing, and Bowles said at the beginning of the week that he expects Dennis to be fine. Dennis has put together a good camp so far. He was listed as a backup on the Buccaneers' initial depth chart of the preseason which was released last week.
Tampa Bay drafted two Panthers this spring and both are sidelined for the time being. First-round pick Calijah Kancey has a confirmed calf injury that is expected to keep him out for a couple of more weeks, but he is expected to be ready well before the season opener against the Minnesota Vikings.
